PARADISE COUNTRY FARM | AUSTRALIA TRAVEL DIARY

DSC_0182DSC_0158DSC_0148DSC_0070DSC_0178DSC_0159

Coming to this post made me realise one thing. This travel diary is coming to an end very soon. Maybe the next post would be the last one or the beginning of more adventures at Australia in the coming years.

I remember waking up to a Sunday morning of after rain. The driver that suppose to pick us up, was late and there was literally no sign of him. We tried to get in contact with the company but of no avail. The weather was teasing us so badly that a part of us felt like we should get back to our rooms and enjoy the weather. Our driver came after an hour of waiting.

The driver was entertaining but too much of talk. My siblings and I felt like he needs to keep his mouth shut at a certain point. I mean nice talk and kind of inspiring but too much of talk.

We reached the paradise country farm that actually included buffet lunch so they told us to place the order before lunch time.

I would say that there isn’t much of animals to look at. Sad. But I like how they kept the animal shows one after one. Just nice to finish one show and head to another.

Interesting but not so interesting.

Lets not talk about lunch. Skip. It’s awful.

It started raining and it’s about an hour or so till our driver picks us up. We decided to take pictures at a sheltered area and when the rain has stopped, we headed outdoors to take some pictures as well. My dad told us to walk to the pick up point quickly as he felt like it’s going to get heavier. Well nice prediction because he saved us from getting drenched.

Afterwards we headed to habour town shopping centre. Yes again. Last minute shoppings and what not. Good buys and we headed to the hotel. We rested a while at our rooms and decided to head to the beach before dinner.

It darkens quickly in Aussie as compared to Singapore. We were walking to the beach where I saw one guy really drunk by the way he walked. He suddenly pointed at me and went “you’re hot as fuck” LOL. Took me by surprise but I just ingnored because firstly he’s drunk and secondly i didn’t want it to bring attention to my dad. My mom and sis were like what did he say and turned back at him, there he was blewing a kiss to me. Drunk people. I don’t even know.

I have to bring to attention on what my mom said next.

“fuck? Don’t people know any other words beside fuck?”

LOL. Seriously mummy?

The beach always looked so violent to me. Like it had something against the shore. The big, huge waves forming in the middle of the sea.

Anytime of the day, the sea always looked angry.

Had a nice walk with my family for some time before heading to dinner.

This restaurant that was really near to our hotel looked so good and crowded every time. Finally we were here to eat. Food was delicious, waiter was really nice, service was amazing and I don’t know what else to say anymore.

My Favourite was the Australian Pizza, prawn and crab pasta, tiramisu and the gelato ice cream. Well actually everything is really nice so I can’t say what really was extremely delicious now.

It was the last night. Last night at Gold Coast. I had to get the donut and the milkshake before the trip comes to an end. We were so full but we had to eat and drink them one last time before we leave.

Last night. Last night at gold coast.

Peace out

SKY OBSERVATION DECK & CRAZY SALE | AUSTRALIA TRAVEL DIARY

This is the next post on the Australia Travel Edition. Basically everything is about shopping and a  360 degree view.

It’s Day 4 at GoldCoast. Waking up as early as 5AM but rolling in bed till 630AM. The sun rises at about 545 to 6 AM in the morning and its so beautiful to wake up to in the morning. I still miss waking up like that in Aussie.

Going to breakfast and still getting the same thing as the past few days at the buffet spread was upsetting me a lot. Sipping on hot latte is what i did the next following days. We make our way to the Sky Observation Deck which was nearby our hotel. About 3-5 mins walk or lesser.

If i correctly remembered, it would actually took less than a minute to the 77th storey for a magnificent view. I mean a 360 degree view was a little too much for me to absorb. For the first few seconds, my family members were scattered. Firstly, they were too excited and secondly for some pictures. We stayed there for 30 minutes and spend the next 30 minutes walking to Starbucks which is about a 10 minutes walk? I guess its a little more expensive than in Singapore.

We booked a cab to Habour Town Shopping Centre (Goldcoast) which costed about 52 AUD dollars. That’s really too expensive. I mean we could have taken a tram and then a bus to get there but we did the math for 5 persons to realise that it just costs about another 10 bucks to take the cab and reach in a shorter period of time. I still don’t know which is the right word in Aussie – cab or taxi?

Initially the plan was to go to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary but we saw the animals at Dreamworld already. So it doesn’t make any sense to waste money and time. We were also having a tour to paradise country farm and habour town shopping centre on Sunday. But i felt like 2 hours won’t be enough just in case Habour Town had mega sale.

I was right to come to a decision to go to Habour Town ourselves to check it out. To my shock, almost every single shop had some big sale. MEGA SALE. I mean 50% sale was crazy enough for me but also 70% sale was too much for to handle. We went there at 10AM (Opening time) and left at 530 (Closing time). WE WENT CRAZY.

I don’t even know where to start or begin with so i guess i should just share SOME crazy sale.

NIKE. Its a factory outlet so basically old stocks which are at a discounted/slashed price to sell them off. My mom and sis took a pair of shoes each and walked to the counter and the cashier told us they had a 40% off on all shoes! WHAT? INSANE. So my dad took me back in and literally spent 5 minutes convincing me to get one. I mean i would have gotten it myself if i didn’t spend 130 AUD on a freaking adidas shoe. When dad’s paying for you and choosing you a pair, how dare can i say NO. Haha.

KATE SPADE. Ok, even before going to Australia, i told myself that i am definitely getting a katespade cross body bag or a wallet if its a good price. I love their designs so much but spending that amount of money in singapore would make my parents disown me. Neither would i spend that much of money on branded goods. Kate Spade didn’t have the wallet that i wanted in that outlet. But they had really nice bags! I already bought 3 bags to even purchase one more from them. My mom told me to choose a watch and damn the watch she chose was really nice but i saw something else that took my attention away. It’s a love at first sight, i guess. Anyways, thanks mom for the advanced birthday gift!

VICTORIA SECRET. When we walked in, i was looking at one of the shelves for the wallets but nothing caught my eyes. My dad told us to choose perfumes since it was on sale. Suddenly my dad walks up to me and shows me a cute purse/crossbody and asked me if i liked it. I mean yes cause its so pretty and the colour was in PINK. But the price was too much for my dad to be spending on me. The sales assistant went like, “Hey most of our items are on sale. Selected styles are on 70% sale and that one is on sale as well.” OK DONE. I’m taking it.

VANS. Vans had such a huge sale. It was all mind-blowing deals. I’m not a fan of vans so i just sat back and helped to choose for my brother. He got like 3 pairs of VANS for 200++ AUD and i think its a really good deal.

I could go on and on about the sales over at Habour Town but i think that’s enough. We literally had so much that we used those trolleys that were meant for the supermarket (oops) to use them to transport all our shopping bags. Everyone was literally judging us when we reached our hotel.

Oh damn, i would definitely go back there to do some really good shopping. There were actually many outlets near my hotel and one outlet at Habour Town where every piece of clothing was going at 10 AUD bucks. The quality was way too good to be even comparing or deciding to buy or not. I would rather get all the clothing at Aussie than over at Bangkok, Thailand. #sorrynotsorry

This is Day 4 at GoldCoast. We had some yummy and not so yummy pizza for dinner.

Peace out

DREAMWORLD | AUSTRALIA TRAVEL DIARY

DSC_0053DSC_0052DSC_0041DSC_0039DSC_0029

This is the 2nd post to the Aussie travel diary series. Yay to that. I’m late in the game by 2 days. LOL. The weekends was just me packing and unpacking the stuff i bought at Aussie. So there’s that. Ok let’s start.

Dreamworld. It had its accidents and the not so good reputation now. BUT how can you go to Goldcoast and not go to Dreamworld. You have to. So i did. We reached even before it opened. Good thing cause that means we have so much time to spend.

All the crazy rides were making us go literally crazy. YES CRAZY. We were so excited to ride on them but at the same time a little nervous. We went a little too hard on ourselves and played too much rides. This ride where it turns clockwise and anticlockwise constantly makes me dizzy – anytime, anywhere. And the next ride was the same clockwise and anticlockwise with much heights this time, that led me to not only feel dizzy but throw up. I could not even walk and had to have someone to bring me to the toilet. Threw up and everything came out and felt way much better. BUT, i needed to do it again (throw up, i mean) and walked to the toilet. That felt so much better.

I watched my fam eating their lunch and thought to myself i need to eat it too but nah, atleast not now. After that, my parents strictly didn’t let me get on any rides. So we basically walked around explored Dreamworld. We took pictures with the koala. They are so cute and nice to hug. I was so shocked by the weight when i carried them. They actually cling into you so well like as thou you’re a tree.

Ok honestly nothing is free at Aussie (Part 2). Like you can’t even touch the koala unless you paid to hug them for a photo.

I loved the Tower of Terror II ride. The ride looked cool and definitely scary. It pulls you backwards all the way up to a tower and leave you hanging for a few seconds before it drops you and pull you back to where you were at first. Phew, even while typing this make me excited to go on it again. I LOVE this ride so freaking much. I wanted to go on Buzzsaw and wipeout which was totally so cool but too bad i was too sick to go on it.

I loved the freaking huge pizza from DOUGH BROS. PIZZERIA. It was too delicious and totally being crazy over the size of the pizza mainly because it’s hard to find one in Singapore. Probably?

I was definitely upset that I wasn’t able to try the Fairy Candy Floss. So in the beginning i was sick and decided to get afterwards when I’m leaving Dreamworld but they had no more of it. I felt so sad. Ugh.

We came back to the hotel and roll in our beds for a bit before heading for Dinner at a Indian Restaurant where we ordered so much of food and didn’t finish. Of course, my mom was raging.

Walked by a store and shopped till we dropped. I looked through all of their racks and picked up literally so much of clothes. It’s a huge sale but i have no idea why there isn’t any crowd. Good for us thou. I walked up to my mom to eliminate the clothes that won’t look good on me while my dad picked up a bag for me and paid all of my sis’s and my clothes. Happy child.

That’s the end of my Day 2 of Australia Travel Diary.

Dreamworld, i would be back. Not now. Not Sooner. But someday.

Peace out

Australia Travel Diary

This shall be my first blog post of the Australia Travel Diary. I think i should keep this blog post short and brief. The next following posts shall be based on the days i spent at Australia. Lets START.

Back in singapore after a really long trip in Aussie. 8 hours of flying was a killer to me. Every second while sitting on the flight, i was secretly hoping i would land in seconds. But nope, it wasn’t landing and i just kept on hoping. Also, this was my longest flying hours ever.

As soon as we landed in Brisbane, i was so happy that finally one of my list is ticked off in my bucket list. Travelling to aussie was on my bucket list for so long. Finally being here made me so happy.

The ride from Brisbane to Gold Coast was about an hr or so. My fam slept through the ride including me. Blaming on the jetlagg. When we reached our hotel, we were taken aback with the fact that it didn’t come with any Wifi. You had to pay for the Wifi if you wanted it.

Also side note here, everything in Aussie has a price. Nothing comes free. NOTHING.

We checked into our rooms and we loved it. It was spacious, had a bath tub, a balcony, a kitchen to cook and the bed was literally huge. Loved it. Breakfast was great but having that same thing for a week, not really great. My last few days of breakfast was just me sipping on latte only.

It was around 3-4PM in Aussie and we decided to do some food hunt for lunch. We have always wanted to try Nandos here in singapore but no idea why we have yet to drop by. They had Nandos there and we went to try them. As for Nandos, you can choose how hot/spicy you want the meat to be but hell no it wasn’t spicy at all! I guess it was suppose to suit the locals there. We were pretty upset. I need to try the Nandos here in Singapore to compare the spicy level thou.

The food in Aussie is really expensive. Crazy expensive! Also they had mainly burgers and fries which we got so sick and tired off. We craved for Asian food so badly after 2 days. We headed to try the indian restaurants and chinese restaurants nearby and satisfied our cravings. Nothing is more satisfying than coming back to singapore and mom cooks up delicious spicy food. After all, I’m an asian and specifically indian who loves spice.

I guess the next few days in my blog posts would be the daily stories of what happened in Aussie for our trip. So excited.

Its funny how i started off the blog post saying it would be short but i guess not anymore.

Peace out

With Eyes Closed | From The Heart

Some things can only be seen with our eyes closed.

An endless road with the slow transition from day to night and back to to the day again. Your right or left hand out of the moving vehicle with the wind blowing your hair all over your face.

The earth with no high-rise buildings and just beautiful tall trees, that’s just so greenery and and the sound of the swashing trees. The smell of the soil after a heavy rain.

A world without poverty. Where kids get to eat healthy food without starvation with proper sanitation and clean water. Where there is no racial riots and everyone is being accepted for who they are.

A place where the animals are not caged. Where they roam around without being controlled or abused.

I certainly live in a bubble or a world of my own where unicorns do exist. Not like i don’t appreciate how the world is right now, but if i could turn things back to how it was originally, i definitely would.

TRAVEL PLANS FOR 2017!

My exams are officially over. Yay to no more exams but if we are talking about University then i guess its not officially over. I’m not officially a graduate but hopefully I’ll pass all of the exams and graduate in May!

2017 is all about travelling. I mean cmon for like the past few years i have atleast travelled out of Singapore atleast once. But this year i have 3 travel plans.

WHAT?! 3??

It sounds crazy to me and as much as it sounds crazy to me, I really am crazy. I mean i could have saved all the money but no. I decided to spend.

It’s good to to be spending on travelling because first, you are relaxing and enjoying and secondly it’s a goddamn therapy!! Like how you would say a retail therapy it’s the same as for travelling. Atleast to me.

It brings so much fun to be honest to be travelling with my fam. From exploring, to shopping, to eating to moving around. It’s so fun and i think i would never give up travelling with my fam to anyone else!

I have 3 travel plans for this year. Super excited for all 3. Please tell me i am not dreaming about this.

Australia

I’m travelling to Australia in March which is crazy! I have always wanted to go to western countries only because we have been only travelling around Asia. I dont even want to think about the 8 hours flight travelling because for 6 hours of travelling is already death to me. What else more for 8 hours?

India

Ok, I have been to India in 2014. I love the roadtrip, food and shopping! But not the over-baggage issues after shopping. June is famous for the super terrible hot sun so goodluck to me. It’s going to make me all cranky. Also this time round we are going for a wedding so i’m very excited about it!

Cruise

Finally after so many years, my parents approved me to travel with my best friend. We have been dying to travel together for so long but i have overprotective parents who wouldn’t let me to travel with anyone else. Finally they have allowed us and i’m so excited to go travelling with my best friend. Though its the end of the year, i’m still excited!

Till the very next post,

FRESH NEW START!

I woke up everyday thinking i need to fix my blog. When i meant ‘fix my blog’, i meant change the whole theme, add some sparkles, glitters, make it something so personalized, so different.

BANG. I finally did it. Took me days to figure out this theme and edit everything to go my way. I changed my whole about me page, which i feel like i should add more to it. Also the theme is in white and i have a dope logo to my blog. How cool is that? I certainly did not think of it till i was somewhere editing my blog and i went “i need a logo to say this is MY blog’.

I have sadly two exams to be over in the following week of monday and tuesday. Which right after that comes to a conclusion that I finished my Poly life. I am so happy. Graduation is in May but before that is obviously the results during March/April which determines everything.

Ok, i would blog something more interesting today but i wanted to blog saying i cleaned and freshened my blog finally and gave it a glow. Peace out for now.

Till the very next post,

Think Simple, Live Now | FROM THE HEART

Words don’t come easy. What comes easy is probably a bunch of thoughts with no proper grammar, and no proper flow but a paragraph about everything you need to say it out loud so it gets off your chest.

It’s the little, simple things in life that makes life even more beautiful and it’s just unbelievable.

Sometimes thinking about future freaks me out. It stresses me so much that i just dont want to think about it for now. At least not think about it till it has to be done or taken into action. Because when you are stressed, you are worrying about your life and forgetting that a small yet amazing moment slipped by. My sister recently brought up future talks one morning. She told me about her plans but when she asked me, i had little plans compared. She then told me that, “you’re someone who doesn’t worry about tomorrow”.

Truth is, i do. I worry. I worry a lot. I worry so much that sometimes it confuses me. Worry might not be a right word. Stressed might be the right word. I don’t understand why you have to be stressed about your future plans. If it stresses you so much, why plan it out right away? You can still plan it out slowly in a later right. You only can plan out your future on what you want when you feel motivated, inspired, and most importantly when you have the mindset. What’s the point of planning so much when you’re rushing and stressed up? You’re mapping your life right now in case of sudden death. Well, that’s what it looks like for me.

Next step in life is actually really important. Important for you to know what you want. Important for you to work towards it. Its crucial to have it planned way earlier. Next step in life should also be not rushed. Slowly but surely you would be able to get there. To able to have your future ahead of you. Even if it takes a day, a week, a month, a year, or even a few years, it’s ok. It’s important to know what you want and need. No point when someone forces you and leads you a way that you don’t wish to live that way. Sometimes it’s ok to take up that tiny chances as well, maybe you find your future that way too.
